A Place to Learn and Grow...

For over forty years, Sequoia Parents Nursery School (SPNS) has provided a small cooperative pre-school for children aged two through five in San Carlos, overlooking Burton Park. Under the guidance of Director Anghelika Maddalena and Teachers Nancy Martin and Catherine Heller, parents participate in operating this non-profit school for the benefit of their young children. SPNS provides specialized programs for pre-school children, along with daytime parent education, social events, field trips and a unique, individualized experience for every child.

  • NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS for FALL 2012 - We are accepting applications for our Sprouts class (2 year olds) and Pre-K class (4 & 5 year olds). We are also accepting applications for the Explorers class (3 year olds) waiting list.
  • FAMILY CONSULTANT SERVICES NIGHT, Mar 12th, 6:30-9:30pm, 1300 5th Ave., Belmont (at Little Hands). The member schools of San Mateo County Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools presents a FREE evening of workshops by local experts who specialize in children and families.
  • May 22, 2011 SPNS wins the "Best Theme Representation" Award at the San Carlos Hometown Days Parade
